How we help

Our peer group process
brings people together
to create
a culture
of support.

Our peer group process helps you carve intentional space to harness renewed energy, cultivate a deeper sense of purpose, and move forward in new ways.
Whether you’re facing a major life change, trying to juggle life’s priorities, or just trying to figure things out, you are not alone in this journey. We're bringing people together to help, support, and encourage one another. Healthy peer groups help one another step back, reflect, refocus, engage in re-creation and renewal, and move forward in new ways.

What Matters in Life to You?

We all have life questions. We all question if the path we’re on right now is the one that’s going to lead to long term life fulfillment.

So many of these questions of life direction center around our work. While work is certainly important, let’s not forget to step back and examine our lives as a whole and also consider the importance of our social relationships, our physical health, our financial health, our environment and surroundings. Well-being is far more than work/life balance.
In what ways might you be feeling stuck? How would you like to be able to move forward?
The first step is acknowledging that there's something better you want in your life. Working with others can help you create new opportunities and come up with new solutions. Working together can help you shift your perspective and move toward something better.

Peer Relationships

The peer group process strengthens meaningful relationships which become the foundation for new growth. By working together collaboratively and sharing experiences, we learn from each other and help each other grow.
We all would benefit from the space for creative solutions. Our peer group process helps you carve the space--intentional space--for reflection, refocusing, renewal, realignment.

Reflection

We’re all on a quest to find our own direction in life, asking the same kinds of questions about what we should be doing with our lives. But the answers to life's deepest questions don't tend to hit us like a bolt of lightning. Deep questions require deep self-reflection. When we engage in an ongoing, deeply reflective process and tap into who we are and the kind of person we want to become, new pathways emerge.

Refocusing

We all need space to step back, to refocus, to see more clearly the paths ahead. It's easy to get mired looking at what's right in front of us trying just to get through the urgent things that always seem most pressing. Working together in a peer group process helps us keep our focus ahead on the larger, more distant, but more meaningful things.

Renewal

The purpose-grounded path is rocky, muddy and slippery, steep and winding. There are many obstacles that all of us have to overcome: coping with stress and anxiety, procrastination, money, managing time and personal resources, balancing relationships, etc. Life itself can detour us from the path we want to follow. The peer group process creates a culture of support to help us stick with it through difficult times and engage in ongoing, life sustaining, renewal.

Realignment

The purpose-grounded path doesn’t come to us passively. It’s a part of a lived journey that we are in charge of. It isn’t an event or a place "out there" to get to. It’s a process. It doesn’t arrive and do its work all at once, like an epiphany. It is a way of living, a perpetual vigilance, a habit of mind. A group of friends working together in a peer group can help to hold us accountable to stay true to our deepest values and stay on track.

Our Process

Practical Guidance

We help engaged learners see beyond the classroom and focus on alignment with their deepest values and life purpose. This is a process that, truthfully, remains ongoing throughout a person's life. We provide guidance for self-directed peer groups to work together to establish their own culture for support, growth, and ongoing renewal. We help guide groups through this creative process.

Crafted Groups

We are wired to be social creatures, next to people, around people, with people. We are meant to live our lives with others. The problem is that we don’t always know how to do that, how to work with others, how to listen, how to let others help us along. Every peer group is unique, and a healthy group experience is something that we have to craft. It doesn’t happen just because we stick people in a room together.

Shared Experiences

Becoming an active learner means taking charge of your own learning process. It's not that we don't know how to do that. It's just that we don't seem to do it very well by ourselves. Through shared experiences together in a peer group, individuals receive the kind of nudge they might not be able to get on their own. By sharing experiences, we learn from each other and help each other grow.

Adaptive Change

We are accustomed to thinking all problems are technical problems—that if we work a little harder and try a little more we can fix whatever is wrong. Adaptive challenges happen when we realize that the ways we have been doing things are no longer working, so we must change. Our process focuses on this difficult but essential process of inner growth and change.

Deep Reflection

We cannot grow if we don't understand the things we need to work on. In a loving way, our peer group helps to hold us accountable to see clearly our strengths and weaknesses and define the practices that we know we need to change. In a healthy peer group process, others can see things in us that we are not always able to see in ourselves.

Learning Community

The core of our website is a lot like Facebook groups, but unlike the big social media sites, our site isn't about posting random tid bits about your life and scrolling through other people's posts. It's about sharing what you're learning in your group and in your life and building a culture of shared experiences that has the potential of helping others along.

Get Started

There doesn't always have to be a perfect moment to get started. We just take a step. You'll receive a brief interactive walkthrough to help you get started. Then step through the Explorer Episodes of the Trail Guide at your own pace.

When you're ready, with a Discovery Membership you'll receive exclusive content to help you go farther and the opportunity to work directly with us in your own peer group process.

Our brand is the silhouette of a compass with a person (blue) pointing up toward his/her life direction (lime). We find our purpose in bringing people together for true collaboration that cultivates a purpose-grounded path.
